The mighty Knights were back on the links on Tuesday, May 2nd after an eleven day break from golf meets due to the inclement weather with very few practices in between. The girls have been watching videos as a substitute for practices and watching how the experts play their game, but were concerned there may be some kinks in their own game after the extended break. Of course, everyone else was in the same boat and we all worked through it.
The weather could not have been more perfect, with the sun shining, no wind to speak of and temperatures in the low sixties, it was exactly the type of golf day we all dream of. Jessica St. Martin was our low scorer of the day with an incredible 99, winning a scorecard playoff for third place. Lexi Poyzer was next with a great round of 106, tying for 6th place, losing the scorecard playoff, for a medal. Katie Merrick shot a 110, with the highlight being that she parred the highest handicap hole on the course, #6. Kate Wrolson hit her personal best with a 115, playing some very consistent golf. Libby Poyzer rounded out our scoring with a 132. She had a couple big holes that included some penalty shots but had some great shots in between. The Knights finished in second place, behind OTC.
