The WCA Knights started their day out soggy at Pebble Lake Golf Club on Thursday, April 20, but finished playing in the sun with very little breeze. It ended up being a pleasant round and we were glad to get in another meet. We were missing Lexi Poyzer due to illness but had a strong showing from the rest of the crew. Jessica St. Martin had a great round, finishing with a 96 on a longer golf course that she wasn't familiar with. She was really stroking her fairway shots and had some strong drives. "It is fun to see her gain confidence in her game and realize she can golf anywhere well." Katie Merrick was our second golfer today with a 108. "Katie put herself in some tricky situations today, but was good at getting herself out of those sketchy predicaments." Libby Poyzer had a solid round with a consistent 56, followed by a 55 for a 111. A par on hole #1 and several bogies made for a round to be proud of. Kate Wrolson had some beautiful drives to earn her a 121 for eighteen holes. It was a good day and we enjoyed playing at Pebble Lake, a course none of the girls had played before.
