The West Central Area girls basketball team made 60% (27/45) of their field goal attempts on Tuesday night as the lady Knights posted a 70-65 victory over the Chargers in Brandon. B-E hit 46% (11/17) of their shots from the field.
"We fell behinid early and had a nice comeback late in the game, however, we couldn't overtake them," reported Head Coach Dick Simpson of the Chargers. "They shot the ball extremelly well and we just couldn't slow them down."
Brianna Kreft scored a game high 20 points to lead the Knights. Taylin Schleicher and Ella VanKempen added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Four Chargers were in double figures, led by Carrigan Okerlund with 20 points. Allie Satterlie and Kennedy Lund each had 13 points and Morgan Stelzer finished with a dozen.
B-E (16-8) will now host Hancock on Thursday, while WCA (6-17) closes out their regular season schedule with a game at Hillcrest on Thursday night.
