The West Central Area Knights Volleyball team traveled to Hancock on Monday night for the first round of the Section 6A playoffs. The Owls defeated the Knights in five sets posting scores of 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 17-25 and 15-13.
"The Knights fought hard against a tough Hancock team, but struggled to finish which has plagued the Knights all year," commented WCA Head Coach Amy Linn. "Despite the loss our record does not support the level of play we have had this year. I am very pleased with our growth and all that we have learned and accomplished. Although this wasn’t the outcome we had hoped for the Knights had a great season and should feel proud of the season they had."
Leaders on the night were Brianna Kreft with 14 kills, 12 set assists, 100% at the line, and 20 digs, Dawn Anderson with 8 kills and Katie Merrick with 7. Once again Morgan Sanstead had a great night defensively with 36 digs and a 2.5 on serve receive. As a team the Knights had 43 kills, and 115 digs
