The Central MN
Foster Grandparent Program
The Foster Grandparent Program offers adults, 55 and over -with no age limit, the opportunity to serve children who need extra assistance, one-on-one or in group settings. Our senior volunteers are given pre-service training and are placed at a location close to where they live. They assist children 15 hours per week (or more) in classrooms at local schools, Head Starts, preschools, and other non-profit settings. High school diplomas and educational degrees are NOT a requirement!
Our on-site “Grandmas” and “Grandpas” help with fun activities and reinforce learning while guided by teachers and other site staff. They receive many rewards for “giving back” and become positive role models in the lives of the kids.
Add THIS meaningful program to your weekly routine!
This is a great opportunity if you:

- are looking for a healthy, “heart-friendly” activity.

Mileage or bus fare reimbursements are also benefits of being a Foster Grandparent!
